In the “Club del Lago”, between Laguna del Sauce, a 12,000-acres protected nature reserve, and the beautiful beach of Portezuelo Bay, just one mile away, lies this small green paradise.

The lovely thatched cottage was renovated and expanded in 2016, and offers, on 980 square feet of living space, an open-plan living/dining room with fireplace, an integrated kitchen visually separated from the living room by the fireplace and a breakfast bar, two bedrooms, one with en suite bathroom, and two bathrooms. The living/dining room and kitchen open towards the north, that is, on the sunny side of the house, onto a cozy partially covered terrace, which leads by way of a few steps to the 11.5 feet by 26 feet pool and the yard.

The large yard is park-like and very well-kept, with beautiful trees, palms and shrubs. Beyond the pool there is a pond. The elevated location of the house and dense vegetation ensure privacy and tranquility. The road has very little traffic and is some 160 feet below the house, which cannot be seen from the road.

The “Club del Lago” residential area particularly appeals to nature and sports lovers. Its location between the sea and the “laguna” (lake), an 18-hole golf course, and the “Hotel del Lago” with tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pool, spa and cultural activities offer a wealth of recreational opportunities. Just a two-minute drive away there are several small restaurants, supermarkets, hardware stores, and so on. Maldonado and Punta del Este, with their comprehensive infrastructure, are just a 15-minute drive away.
