Only 1,000 feet away from the Atlantic beaches there is this extraordinary double-floor house on a quiet residential street in El Chorro, next to Manantiales, between Punta del Este and José Ignacio (both resorts at 10 mi).
Of a rustic, very pleasant industrial style, the house has been built in 2014 partly with traditional methods, partly in dry construction on stilts, and offers a usable/living surface of 1,356sqft. Thanks to its substructure, the „ground“ floor of the house is nearly seven feet above street level.
That is why you enter the house via a wooden, terraced front deck which merges with the charming and partially roofed patio of the ground floor. In its center grows a beautiful black poplar. The whole house has been designed around this tree.
Surrounding this air well on the ground floor are the living/dining room and the openly integrated kitchen, and in the back there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. A stair leads from the living room to the upper floor above the bedrooms. It hosts the mastersuite with bathroom and sea view. The terraces in front of the house offer several cosy places to sit and rest, and there is a garden fire pit and a fantastic Finnish hot tub.
There is no reason not to use house oneself throughout the whole year, but it would also be possible to profitably rent it out in summer or any other holiday season, given the houses extraordinary charm, its furnishings and the good location. The Atlantic beaches and the close-by beach resorts of Manantiales and La Barra with their many galleries, shops, restaurants, cafes and their trendy atmosphere are not only popular among holiday guests, above all they are very attractive and lively surf hot spots.
Rooms: living/dining room, integrated kitchen, 3 bedrooms (1 en suite), 2 bathrooms
