Ranch with historic main house and 603 acres of land, mainly pasture
This ranch is located just 55 mi from Montevideo and 22 mi from the coast, and is currently operating. The soil is rated as 88-100 on the Coneat soil quality index. The pasture land is being used successfully for raising Angus cattle and Hampshire sheep, in addition to a small stud farm for the breeding of Criollo horses. Around 100 acres are covered with eucalyptus trees grown for the forest industry. A stream runs though the ranch, and one mile of the property line borders on a river. As a result, the supply of fresh water for the livestock is guaranteed. The ranch is equipped with all of the facilities for livestock breeding, horse stables and a barn, which are in good condition.
The historic main house was built in 1850. The most recent renovation and expansion work was carried out around 20 years ago. The house is surrounded by well-kept parkland with beautiful old trees and palms.
On the ground floor are a living room with fireplace, a dining room, a large farm kitchen and a small bathroom. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, each with private bathroom. In a separate wing, accessed by a covered gallery, there are another two bedrooms, also both equipped with a private bathroom.
In addition to the main house, the property also includes a large grill house with an adjacent workshop, the above-mentioned barn, and a staff house.
The nearest town with good infrastructure is just 4 mi away.
