With favorable transport connections, this 25 acres olive plantation is located at only one kilometer from the national Route number 39 in the charming landscape between San Carlos and Aigua.
The 1.900 olive trees of the Italian varieties Frantoio, Canino, Maurino, Coratina and Leccino have been planted in 2014 and grow on two directly adjacent 5ha-lots. Initial harvesting was already successful; in 2022 for example the production amounted to 145gal of olive oil (native olive oil extra, premium blend).
Included in the sale is the house´s own registered trademark, ready for commerce with the barcode of a renown Uruguayan supermarket chain. In particular, the country´s first purely organic olive oil, controlled and certified by the Uruguayan Ministry of Agriculture MGAP.
The land has it´s own well providing excellent drinking-water (880gal/h), several ponds for cattle watering and is connected to the public electrical grid.
There is also a farmhouse, a little old and in need of renovation but absolutely worth preserving.
San Carlos, the next town with pretty good infrastructure, can be reached within 20 minutes. Maldonado, name and capital of the district, and the famous beach resort Punta del Este are only 28 and 31 miles away.
